Privacy Policy
Structured. Inc. ("the Company") sets out the following privacy policy regarding the handling of customers' personal information in the services it provides ("the Services").
Article 1. Definition of personal information
Personal information means information about an individual that can identify a specific person, such as name, email address, organization, address, telephone number and social network accounts, including information that cannot identify a person on its own but can be readily combined with other information to do so.
Article 2. Cookies, IP addresses and similar data
Access data that cannot identify a specific individual, obtained through technologies such as automatically transmitted cookies, IP addresses, advertising identifiers and web beacons, is not treated by the Company as personal information. Where such data is used together with personal information, it is treated as personal information.
Article 3. Collection of personal information
The Company collects personal information to the extent necessary to provide the Services, either as provided by customers or as collected in the course of customers' use of the Services. The Company collects personal information properly and never by deception or other improper means.
Article 4. Purposes of use
The Company uses personal information for the following purposes or within the scope necessary to achieve them. Should a change of purpose become necessary, the Company will notify or announce it.
- Providing, maintaining, protecting and improving the Services, including registration, identity verification and fee calculation
- Announcing information about the Services, updates, events, campaigns and changes to terms
- Responding to inquiries and providing guidance regarding the Services
- Responding to conduct that violates the Company's terms or other rules relating to the Services
- Preparing statistical data on use of the Services
- Planning, designing and implementing future Services
- Delivering or displaying advertisements of the Company or third parties
- Other marketing purposes
- In the executive search business, using candidates' names, contact details, career histories and preferences to introduce them to client companies, support the selection process, support onboarding after joining, and communicate in connection with these
- In the CEO office outsourcing business, performing contracted work and related communication
Article 5. Provision to third parties, entrustment and joint use
The Company does not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases:
- With the customer's consent
- Where the customer has violated the Company's terms and there are sufficient grounds to judge that disclosure is necessary to protect the Company's rights, property or services
- Where necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain the person's consent
- Where cooperation with a national or local government body, or a party entrusted by one, is required to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining consent could impede those duties
- Where the Company's business is succeeded through merger, company split, business transfer or other cause
- Where otherwise permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws
In the executive search business, the Company provides candidates' personal information to client companies to the extent necessary for selection, with the candidate's consent.
Within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use, the Company may entrust all or part of the handling of personal information to contractors. In such cases the Company examines the contractor's suitability, sets confidentiality obligations by contract and ensures the information is properly managed. Where a business partner working jointly with the Company is needed to provide the Services, the Company may jointly use personal information with that partner after announcing the purpose of use, the partner's name, the type of information and the party responsible for management.
Article 6. Disclosure, correction and suspension of use
When a customer requests disclosure of personal information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Company will disclose it without delay after confirming the request is from the person concerned, to the extent the Company is obliged to do so. A disclosure fee may be charged under procedures separately set by the Company.
When a customer requests correction on the grounds that the information is untrue, or suspension of use on the grounds that it is handled beyond the announced purposes or was collected improperly, the Company will, after confirming the request is from the person concerned, conduct the necessary investigation without delay and correct or suspend use based on the result, and notify the customer.
When a customer requests deletion, the Company will delete the information without delay and notify the customer, where the Company judges that it must comply, after confirming the request is from the person concerned.
Requests should be accompanied by the following and any other information the Company specifies:
- Name, address, telephone number and email address
- Details of the request, background and supporting documents
- Proof of identity
The Company may be unable to comply with a request in the following cases, in which case it will notify the customer and explain the reason:
- Where it could harm the life, body, property or other rights and interests of the customer or a third party
- Where it could seriously impede the proper conduct of the Company's business
- Where it would violate laws or regulations
- Where the request cannot be confirmed as being from the person concerned
Article 7. Links
Third-party operators linked from the Company's website may collect personal information on their own sites. This policy does not apply to them, and the Company bears no obligation or responsibility for their handling of personal information.

Opinions, questions and other inquiries regarding this policy or the handling of personal information, and requests under Article 6, should be made through the contact form.
Article 9. Revisions
When this policy is revised, the date and details of the revision will be announced promptly on the Company's website.
